Penetrant Testing (PT) is one of the non-destructive testing (NDT) methods used for the detection of surface breaking imperfections. The Penetrant Testing method is based on the capillary action of liquids. It employs various chemicals which must be used in accordance with a prescribed procedure. This method is known for its simplicity and relative effectiveness. It belongs to the group of conventional NDT methods.
During the course, the candidates will gain a comprehensive understanding of Penetrant Testing principles that will enable them to implement this method competently.
Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) is one of the Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods used for the detection of surface or subsurface imperfections. The Magnetic Particle Testing method is based on the ability of a material to be magnetized. Material discontinuities (if oriented suitably) may lead to magnetic flux leakage that forms an indication. This method is known for its speed, productivity, and relative accuracy. It belongs to the group of conventional NDT methods.
During the course candidates will gain a comprehensive understanding of Magnetic Particle Testing principles that will enable them to implement this method competently.
Ultrasonic Testing Thickness Measurement (UTTM) is one of the Non-Destructive Testing methods used for detection of defects (lamination or corrosion) inside materials or thickness check by the use of compression probe. The Ultrasonic Testing method uses acoustic waves which have the capability to propagate through a material and be reflected on its boundary. It employs ultrasonic test sets and various probes. This method is one of volumetric methods (can test full material volume). It belongs to the group of conventional NDT methods.
During the course the candidate will gain a comprehensive understanding of Ultrasonic Testing that will enable them to implement this method competently.

During the course the candidate will gain a comprehensive understanding of Ultrasonic Testing that will enable them to implement this method competently. This will be achieved through both theory lessons focused on aspects of practical application of UT and practical exercises on test specimens, with emphasis on interpretation of defect indications.
Radiographic Interpreter (RI) is a limited qualification related to radiographic testing, a method used for detection of internal material defects. The qualified Radiographic Interpreter should have the skill to interpret and evaluate a radiographic image in term of image quality as well as object acceptability. This includes being able to identify indications correctly, recognize the nature of a defect, measure relevant dimensions and record position so that if the defect is considered unacceptable, it may be located on the object and remedial action taken.
During the course the candidate will gain a comprehensive understanding of the Radiographic Testing method that will enable them to understand radiographic images.
During the course, the candidates will gain a comprehensive understanding of safety rules and risk assessment, equipment checks, material and consumables, personal protective equipment required, set up equipment and proper techniques of blasting and painting. The certification will be executed in accordance with NOSS Standard F433-004-2.
